Activity

Journey was a very important theme in the Bible.  Throughout his life, Jesus was one who constantly and consistently walked with others- often the outcast and the marginalised.  Jesus was there to share his stories, his food and his vision for the Kingdom of God with those who had ears to hear.  He spoke of a God of love and compassion, a God who searches us out, a God who us with us always, a God who never forgets us.

Can you think of any stories about Jesus that involved a journey? 

His life was framed by significant journeys:

A journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem led to his birth.

A journey to Egypt saved his life.

A journey into Jerusalem marked his death.

A journey to Emmaus proclaimed his Resurrection.
